Issue 62 (January – March 2022)

This report presents a periodic assessment carried out by the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies of a sample of 120 private sector firms covering various sectors and sizes. The assessment reflects the opinion of the business community regarding developments in a set of variables, namely: production, domestic sales, exports, inventory, level of capacity utilization, prices, wages, employment, and investment, during the quarter January-March 2022 and expectations for the quarter April – June 2022. It also compares results with the previous quarter (October – December 2021) and the corresponding quarter (January – March 2022).
