One of its key features is an \u201coffshore world\u201d of financial structures, institutions and techniques designed to provide secrecy, asset protection and tax exemption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The offshore world\u2019s limited presence in the study of contemporary African political economy is striking.
