The World Economic Forum launched the Travel and Tourism (T&T) Report (2024), which assesses travel and tourism economies’ strengths and highlights areas for improvement by examining the internal and external factors that affect this sector. The biennial report includes a Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI) which ranks 119 economies where this sector plays a major role. This report was launched in Egypt in cooperation with the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES)—the Forum’s sole research partner in Egypt—which collected part of its economic data.
