The disruptions in global supply chains and the waves of inflation that the world witnessed as a result of the rise in energy prices, raw materials, and shipping costs were reflected in the decline of the Business Barometer Index by three points from the average level during the quarter (October-December 2021). Secondly, by analyzing the Outlook index, the business community expectations for the quarter (January-March 2022) came five points higher than the neutral level, despite the lack of clarity of the vision regarding the state of economic recession with the emergence of new precautions due to the pandemic and the problems associated with the high costs of production and shipping.
