COP27 Presidency, Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP27 and the World Bank Group in partnership with the Center for Economic and Financial Research & Studies (CEFRS), the Economic Research Forum (ERF), the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES) and the Institute of National Planning (INP) have the pleasure to invite you to actively participate in Climate and Development Distinguished Lecture Series. 

The series aims at advancing the global conversation about how to better link the global climate change and development agendas. 

This Distinguished Lecture by Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia discussed the broad issues that developing countries must face both in developing internal strategies to manage climate change to achieve the targets set in COP26 and their negotiating position in COP27 and also other international fora such as the G20. It is based on work done in the context of India, but has broader relevance to other developing countries.
