Abstract:
This paper explores the dynamic landscape of diplomatic cooperation within the Global South, emphasizing its critical role in addressing its own development challenges and reforming the global political economy. The analysis underscores the significance of South-South diplomatic cooperation through bilateral, multilateral, and ad-hoc agreements, highlighting successful initiatives and their contributions to economic development, trade, intellectual property rights, and climate justice. Key mechanisms such as the G77, MERCOSUR, the African Peer Review Mechanism, and ASEAN are examined in how they promote South-South diplomatic efforts, identifying their successes and challenges in implementation.
